These terms govern the use of EDM Hub, a directory for electronic music events, artists, venues, crews and event series. By using the service you accept these terms.
An account is required to create and maintain profiles. Credentials must be kept confidential. One account per person is intended; accounts may not be shared.
Profiles, images, texts and dates are submitted by their respective owners. You confirm that you hold the necessary rights to the content you submit. Those rights remain yours; you grant us a simple right to display the content as part of the service.
The following are prohibited in particular: unlawful, abusive or discriminatory content, submitting third-party content without permission, impersonating another person, automated scraping of the service, and attempts to circumvent access control.
We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law, and may suspend accounts. For minor violations we give prior notice where reasonable.
For a published profile or a published event you can book the advertising package, an advertising service of EDM Hub. We describe it in the same words everywhere – in the booking dialog, at checkout, on the invoice and in the confirmation:
Advertising package, 12 months: For twelve months the entry carries the Featured mark and appears in the featured rows of the home page and the lists.
An entry is published without the advertising package and stays published. The package is no condition for publishing; whoever does not book it loses nothing.
You set the price yourself: an amount in whole euros from €10 to €500. The package is the same for every amount. The amount is never shown publicly and changes neither the mark nor the place in the featured rows.
The amount is a final price. Under the small-business rule (§ 19 (1) UStG, German VAT Act) we charge and show no VAT; for a booking by a business outside Germany the amount contains no German VAT.
The package starts once your payment has reached us and runs for twelve months. If you book it again while it is running, the new twelve months follow the end of the running ones. The package ends by itself; it does not renew and needs no cancellation.
The package buys no placement: the ordinary lists, the search and the map stay sorted as they are without it. The featured rows are marked as advertising (“Featured”) and show the featured entries in changing order.
Businesses and private persons in Germany can book, and businesses in the EU, in Switzerland and in the United Kingdom. You pay on the page of our payment provider Stripe; your card or account details never reach us.
For every booking you receive an invoice as a PDF: in German when the paying person or company is based in Germany, otherwise in English. If a tax office asks for a translation of an English invoice, the recipient of the invoice provides it.
Private persons who book as consumers can withdraw from the booking within fourteen days and then get the full amount back (see “Withdrawal notice”). Businesses have no right of withdrawal.
Whoever books as a consumer expressly requests at the booking that the advertising package starts at once, and confirms that the right of withdrawal expires once the package has been provided in full (§ 356 (4) BGB). The package runs for twelve months, so the right to withdraw within fourteen days stays: a withdrawal within that period brings the full amount back, and the package ends.
If we refund a payment, the twelve months of that payment fall away – without another booking the package ends with the refund – and you receive a credit note.
This notice applies to consumers, that is private persons who book the advertising package for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession (§ 13 BGB, German Civil Code). Whoever books as a business has no right of withdrawal.
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Martin Heß, Am Kirschberg 33, 98617 Rhönblick OT Stedtlingen, Germany, email: contact@edm-hub.net) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

The service is provided without any guarantee of a particular level of availability. Maintenance, further development and faults may cause interruptions.
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For ordinary negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation, limited to foreseeable damage typical of the contract.
You may delete your account at any time. We may end the usage relationship with reasonable notice, or without notice in the event of serious violations.
We may amend these terms where required for legal or technical reasons. We give reasonable advance notice of material changes.
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
